Areas

An area is an operational subdivision of a facility. It can have managers, status messages, and associated equipment. Areas are independent of rooms: an equipment item can have a physical room and an area used for support or reporting.

Area-based classification is especially visible in equipment statusmail, where records may be grouped by area or by area within each facility. See Facilities, areas, and operational status.
