Units

Units give numeric process parameters and results a consistent meaning. Administrators create the available units; parameter definitions then select one of them.

Reuse one spelling and symbol for the same quantity. Changing a unit on a parameter affects how new process and recipe forms are presented but does not convert historical values. Create a new parameter or migrate data explicitly when a change represents a different scale rather than a label correction.
