To configure external labeling:

  1. Navigate to the Site Management section

  2. Edit the site settings

  3. Enable the "Has External Chemical Labelling" option

  4. Save the changes

Best Practices

  • Standardize Label Templates: Create standardized label templates for different types of chemicals

  • Include Essential Information: Ensure labels include all required safety and identification information

  • Regular Updates: Update label templates when regulations or requirements change

  • Quality Control: Regularly check printed labels for readability and accuracy

  • Printer Settings: Use appropriate printer settings and label materials for durability

Troubleshooting

Labels Not Printing Correctly

If your labels are not printing correctly:

  1. Check that the label dimensions in the template match your physical label stock

  2. Verify printer settings (paper size, scaling, etc.)

  3. Ensure the printer has the correct label stock loaded

  4. Try adjusting margins or bleed settings in the label template

QR Codes Not Scanning

If QR codes on your labels are not scanning properly:

  1. Ensure the printed QR code is clear and not distorted

  2. Check that the QR code size is adequate for scanning

  3. Verify that the URL encoded in the QR code is correct

  4. Try using a different QR code scanner app

  • Chemical Container Management: Manage detailed information about chemical containers

  • Barcode Scanning: Scan barcodes to quickly find or register chemical containers

  • Safety Information: Manage hazard symbols and safety statements for chemicals
