SoloDB Documentation Version 1.0 Help

Equipment reservations

Use the equipment calendar to create a booking. A reservation records start and end date, title, description, owner, equipment, selected modules or assets, and optional run, project, or room-project context.

Reservation types

SoloDB distinguishes user, technical, rental, block, setup, and accessory reservations. The UI offers only types valid for the current action. Reservations may recur weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly until an end date.

Validation

Before saving, SoloDB evaluates the equipment's allowed audience, training and room access, active state, time overlap, double-booking setting, room opening-hour enforcement, setup state, and user permissions. When approval is required, a new booking enters the configured responsible-user flow before confirmation.

Use Project management when a booking must select one of the active projects linked to the room. Rental bookings also track whether the item has been picked up and returned.

Cancelled bookings remain part of the audit trail. Use the room calendar to spot conflicts across equipment and the reservation export for offline analysis.
