Create equipment
Before you begin, make sure the room or facility area, manufacturer, categories/types, module types, statuses, and role types you need already exist.
Open Equipment → New equipment.
Enter a clear name. Supply a number only when your organisation has an authoritative identifier; otherwise SoloDB can generate one.
Choose the grade: equipment, accessory, or storage. Record ownership, model, manufacturer, and serial number where applicable.
Place the item in a room and optionally a zone group, zone, location, and sub-location. If your installation uses operational classification, select its facility area.
Select one or more category types. These control list filtering and the properties that can be completed later.
Configure training and reservation behaviour. If reservations are enabled, verify the allowed audience, approval, double-booking, calendar text, rental, and project-management settings.
Enable Can execute processes only if the tool will run processes. Add a unique MES name when required.
Save the record. SoloDB creates or associates the main module; add further modules only for distinct functional parts of a complex tool.
Open General → Set properties, complete the applicable property values, and add responsible users, documents, links, and a label.
Finally, test the record as a normal user: confirm the location, access banner, calendar rules, status badge, and available process modules are correct.
