Equipment
Equipment is SoloDB's core record for a tool, accessory, or storage unit. It joins physical location and ownership to training, responsible users, reservations, process execution, status, maintenance, services, documents, and history.
Find and read equipment
Open Equipment → List and use the search and property filters. Installations may offer table, card, or calendar views. Status and reservation badges show the current operational state without opening the record.
The equipment header shows its name and number, grade, main-module status, reservation state, quota or rental badges, and location. The available tabs depend on configuration:

Identity and classification
An equipment record has a name and generated or supplied number. It may also have model, serial number, manufacturer, description, MES name, workstation components, purchase order, cost centre, project, group, colours, and a printable label. Grade distinguishes equipment, accessory, and storage. Ownership is owned or rented.
Physical classification can use a room, zone group, zone, location, and sub-location, or an operational facility/area classification. Categories and types drive filtering and configurable properties.
Process-capable equipment
Enable Can execute processes when the equipment participates in runs or monitored processes. Give it a stable MES name and configure its modules and parameters. This mode also exposes operational status, issues, engineering change notices, facilities, logging, and dashboards when equipment-status management is enabled.
Lifecycle
Do not delete equipment that has history. Mark it inactive so existing runs, reservations, services, and exports remain traceable. Use status and operational records for temporary availability changes and use the changelog for master-data edits.
