Equipment setups

A setup combines several equipment items and exposes one main equipment record as the setup entry point.

• A fixed setup represents a stable combination.

• A dynamic setup represents a time-bound combination that can be assembled for a job.

The setup has a start date, optional end date, component equipment, and a reservation mechanism: no reservation, calendar, or scheduler. SoloDB warns when equipment is used more than once in a setup or belongs to overlapping active setups.

Create the main equipment and components first, then add the setup and select its equipment. Complete collected properties on the setup when groupable component properties need a combined value. Do not use a setup merely as a classification; use equipment categories and groups for that purpose.
