Run status and approval
Status | Meaning and available work |
|---|---|
Under construction | The run is being prepared. Select source material, create parts, and build or edit steps. |
Waiting for approval | A start request has been sent to the configured approvers. Execution has not started. |
Open | Execution is active. Operators can start and finish steps and record results. |
Closed | Execution is complete. The finish date and conclusion provide the final record. |
Cancelled | The run will not be executed. Unused source stock is not treated as consumed by completed work. |
Starting a run may require approval based on installation options and the selected group, team, project, or source material. Approvers are resolved from the relevant roles. They can approve or decline with a message; the outcome is written to the changelog and sent using run transactional mail.
Reopening returns a closed or cancelled run to an editable execution state only when the user has permission. Never reopen merely to correct reporting output when a comment or new related run would preserve history more accurately.
