Statusmail

The statusmail is a powerful tool that provides a detailed overview of the current status of all equipment in the lab. It allows lab managers, technicians, and other stakeholders to monitor equipment status, issues, and engineering change notices (ECNs) in a structured and organized way.

Overview

Statusmail offers the following key features:

  • Equipment Status Monitoring: View the operational status of all equipment in the lab

  • Issue Tracking: Monitor and manage issues related to equipment

  • ECN Management: Track Engineering Change Notices for equipment

  • Customizable Views: Configure how equipment is grouped and displayed

  • Email Notifications: Send status reports to stakeholders via email

Creating and Configuring a Statusmail

General Settings

Using the Statusmail Interface

Viewing Equipment Status

The statusmail interface displays equipment grouped according to your selected classification option (area, room, etc.). For each equipment, you can see:

  • Equipment number and name

  • Main tool status

  • Other modules and their status

  • Associated issues and ECNs

Equipment is displayed in cards, with the main tool on the left (or full width if there are no other modules) and other modules on the right.

Working with Issues

Issues represent problems or concerns related to equipment. In the statusmail interface, you can:

  • View existing issues for each equipment and module

  • Create new issues by clicking the "New Issue" button in the equipment card

  • Edit or update existing issues

  • Attach files to issues for additional documentation

Issues can be displayed in different ways based on your configuration:

  • Show all issues

  • Hide issues

  • Show issues in a collapsed state (expandable)

Working with ECNs

Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) document changes or modifications to equipment. In the statusmail interface, you can:

  • View existing ECNs for each equipment and module

  • Create new ECNs by clicking the "New ECN" button in the equipment card

  • Edit or update existing ECNs

  • Attach files to ECNs for additional documentation

Working with Messages

Messages provide general information that applies to multiple equipment or the entire lab. In the statusmail interface, you can:

  • View existing messages at the top of the statusmail

  • Create new messages by clicking the "New message" button

  • Edit or update existing messages

Filtering Equipment

You can filter which equipment appears in the statusmail by:

  1. Navigating to the statusmail view

  2. Clicking the "Set Equipment Filter" button

  3. Selecting the desired filter criteria

  4. Saving your filter settings

This allows you to create focused statusmails for specific areas, equipment types, or other criteria.

Displaying and Sharing Statusmail

To view the statusmail in a format suitable for sharing or printing:

  1. Navigate to the statusmail view

  2. Click the "Display" button

This will show the statusmail in a clean format that can be printed or shared with others.

You can also configure the statusmail to be sent automatically via email to the specified recipients.
