Equipment administration

Equipment administration defines the shared reference data used by equipment records.

Statuses and module types

Equipment statuses have a name, foreground/background colours, sequence, and Up, Down, or neutral type. Module types describe functional parts such as main tool, load port, transport module, or process chamber. Define both before creating process-capable equipment.

Categories, types, and properties

Categories contain equipment types. Types are assigned to equipment and select the dynamic property definitions that apply. See Equipment type administration and Property administration.

Role types label responsible-user assignments. Link types classify manuals, supplier sites, document libraries, and other URLs. External-activity types classify work recorded from other systems. Keep labels stable once they appear in history and exports.

Import equipment

Generate a fresh import workbook after creating rooms, zones, categories/types, and users. Complete the workbook, upload it, review the preview and validation messages, and only then confirm the import. Re-running an import is safe only when the workbook keys identify the intended existing records.
