SoloDB Documentation Version 1.0 Help

User guide

This guide explains the features people use in the SoloDB web interface. Which menus, tabs, and actions you see depends on the modules enabled for your environment and your permissions.

Begin with the core model

SoloDB connects physical resources to reproducible work:

  1. A room locates equipment and controls access to the workspace.

  2. Equipment supplies the modules on which processes can run.

  3. A process describes an operation; a recipe fixes a reusable version of its settings.

  4. A template combines steps into a reusable procedure.

  5. A run is the traceable execution record, including source material, steps, measurements, requirements, files, and results.

Read Core concepts for the relationships between these records, or Finding information for lists, search, filters, and detail pages.
